The American Lung Association’s toolkit for state and local public health professionals includes resources related to Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNAs), tobacco control, and hospitals.
Included in the toolkit is information about:
- What a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) is
- Determining which hospitals in your area have conducted a CHNA
- How to make the case for tobacco in a CHNA, and
- Information for public health professionals working with hospitals on tobacco cessation.
Remember, just because this information is targeted to hospitals does not mean it cannot be tailored for other communities working in tobacco cessation!
